Dr. FIONA FLINN (Associate)

Fiona is a qualified Educational Psychologist, holding a Doctorate in Educational, Child and Adolescent Psychology from Queen’s University and is a registered practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council. Fiona works as an Educational Psychologist for the Belfast Education and Library Board in Northern Ireland, with experience in the identification and assessment of a wide range of Special Educational Needs in both pre-school and school-age children. Additionally, Fiona has a specialist role with the Behaviour Support Team, working with schools, parents and students to provide support and intervention for students with social, emotional, behavioural difficulties. Fiona has a special interest in working with students with these difficulties, both primary school age and adolescents. Throughout her Doctoral training, Fiona received training in a number of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including CBT, Video Interaction Guidance, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Incredible Years Parenting Program, Cognitive Behaviour Intervention for Trauma. Fiona believes in working with a child-centered approach whilst working collaboratively with parents, schools and other professionals.
